Biography

Ms. Shekiba Hakimi is a dedicated and experienced finance professional who recently joined Fanoos Accounting Services as a Women Capacity Building Consultant. With a strong educational background and a commitment to enhancing the skills of women in the finance sector, Ms. Hakimi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.

Education

Ms. Hakimi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Kabul University, obtained in 2018. Her academic journey also includes a diploma from the Banking, Administration and Accounting Institute in Kabul (2015) and a high school diploma from Marefat High School (2013).

Professional Experience

Ms. Hakimi’s professional career is marked by her tenure at Reliance Power Group, where she served in various capacities:

  • Finance Officer (December 2019 – July 2021): In this role, she was responsible for reviewing and auditing financial statements, preparing financial reports, tracking bank deposits and payments, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, calculating taxes, and reconciling bank statements.
  • Cashier (May 2019 – November 2019): Ms. Hakimi managed daily cash transactions, recorded cash and bank transactions, handled staff salary payments, and prepared various cash reports.
  • Finance Assistant (February 2019 – April 2019): She assisted the Finance Manager and Finance Officer with daily tasks, including entering bills and invoices, scanning and filing documents, and supporting bank reconciliation and cash counting.

Volunteer Experience

Ms. Hakimi has also demonstrated her leadership and organizational skills through her volunteer work:

  • Director of Communication Committee (2017-2018) at Kabul University Student’s Union: She developed and implemented communication strategies, facilitated relations with supporting organizations, and managed media relations.
  • Director of Delegates’ Affairs (2017) at Kabul University International Model United Nations (KUIMUN): She managed delegate participation, conducted interviews, handled registrations, and ensured the provision of necessary facilities during events.
